This leaves them highly vulnerable to security risks and the consequential financial and non-financial liabilities associated with business identity theft and privacy and information security breaches. In addition, their customers and employees bear a significant risk by entrusting sensitive information with SMEs that do not have reasonable and appropriate safeguards in place.
